Of the three Heisei Gamera Trilogy movies Guardian of the Universe is probably the best all around. I wish they would use this effect more. I was amazed at the detail of the utility poles with wires connecting them, increasing the realism and providing depth to the shots. The Japanese government wants to capture and study these three prehistoric bird-like creatures. The atoll then floated away, leaving the ship intact but damaged. A giant monster that emits a destructive ray from its back attacks Japan and takes on Gamera.

And why is there an atoll that's moving on its own? Was this review helpful to you? After watching just about all the kaiju monster movies, it was time to see the Gamera movies in order. Nothing not to like here. You've got giant flying turtle called Gamera, a giant people eating flying reptile looking pteradactyl and they fight for at least a good third of the film. Check it out!

The monsters are also very well done and Gyaos and Gamera have risen to the top of the best looking kaiju suits to date.
