I think I'd be a lot more stressed if I chose UofT over Mac. However, I lived in Bates which is a traditional apartment residence, and not really dorm-like which I would've preferred.

I think at UofT, I'd have to put a much higher amount of effort to maintain the same marks I got in Mac because it is really prestigious. You have a lot of options (that you can really do with any science degree): physiotherapy, medicine, dentistry, occupational therapy, pharmacy, ecology, research, etc. They are tougher, require critical thinking skills, but were my more enjoyable courses. Each course syllabus is updated at the beginning of the semester. Life Science courses are more science-based, while Health Science courses are more about health & diseases.

McMaster & UofT are both renowned universities for Life Science. Do you know what courses you would have take throughout your 4 years in undergrad at Mac for life and health science?
Did you find first year a lot harder than high school?Is a 3.8+ GPA achievable if you're a hard worker who doesn't procrastinate?For McMaster, my top 6 average was 90.5%, and I only had about 1-2 clubs. In Bio 1A03, the only relevant units are Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry from SBI4U. I actually did find first year harder but for different reasons. No one has been to both universities for first year, but at Mac, I definitely felt relaxed and stress-free for the most of the time, just studied regularly and did well. You don't have to answer that if you don't want, its just I'm really itching for an acceptance letter from Mac I didn't receive an acceptance later from Mac until May.

It's also really competitive, classes get bell curved a lot because of the difficulty of tests/exams.
The only difference might be the opportunities you get within the program – for example, biochemistry programs have more lab and research and coop opportunities, while life science is a good fit for people who want to pursue graduate studies afterwards, and just need a general program.
