i’d also like to point out that when you go through all the work of putting a plot together yourself it is of course going to lose the suspense/drama of a plot you haven’t constructed, plot twists will seem more obvious, things will seem predictable as you overanalyse them, but for the people reading it’ll be new - things you write will always seem different to your readers than to you! You've answered what they would be ok with, but what do THEY want?! I honestly never thought people were going to look at my lacking world-building skills, and my underprivileged/gang-of-weird characters and think, “ah yes, finally the kind of story i’ve been wanting to read.” I was very lucky and hopefully the popularity will help once the game is on sale because mama still needs to put a roof over her head.That’s all I can think of.
