In late 2020, Myanmar will hold a general election for more than a thousand seats in its legislative bodies. The question for Myanmar civil society groups was whether the help came with strings attached. U.S. policymakers must learn to live with this reality.
First is: what public health measures are in place in country?Burma has a very weak public health system, and it was very poorly prepared to address COVID-19.
