The original Mobile Suit Gundam began the Universal Century (UC) timeline, which is without question the most complicated and convoluted of all the Gundam universes. What is the Universal Century? You have more arms and shields to deal with colony debris. (even though I kinda want them to do that so I can see how they try to bullshit it into continuity. The Zaku 2 has this massive backpack which never existed in the original UC timeline.I originally thought it was just an artistic freedom and that's a common thing to occur in the UC timeline. U.C.
An ONA series adaptation by Sunrisewas released between 25 Dec… One of the few examples of a sequel transcending its source material, … Also, it wouldn't hurt to think that the brainwashing being hidden suggestions in speech and movement to help "hypnotize" them.I guess it all depends on how future chapters develop and explain this character and his abilities. At least for the first part of Thunderbolt (the stuff December Sky covers) I can accept it as canon UC. U.C. Look, none's denying there have been some atrocious missteps in the past when it comes to CG in anime, but it can be done right!
The extra shields could be prototype designs being tested there or they could be used for blocking all the space debris and lightning boltsIn my honest opinion the more they try to update OYW mobile suit designs and the tech from the era, it kinda makes the leaps in technology from series to series seem less special. If it was up to me (and thankfully it's not) I would have made it so all shows in the UC setting used technology from the 80s and 90s so that way I wouldn't have weird moments in retrospect like Kou using floppy discs to install data into the GP01.It's weird in that sense Gundam has no consistent technological aesthetic in specific eras of UC. Its Japanese name is \"Uchuu Seiki\", meaning \"Space Era\". The Doomsday Clock - a metaphor designed to represent how close humanity is to destruction - is at 3 minutes to midnight. Universal Century, often abbreviated as \"UC\", is the English name for the original timeline of the Gundam metaseries. The Future Century consists of only one show, Finally, we are back to a timeline that spans across more than one show. Hence, it should be mentioned after Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt 2nd Season for it to be in chronological order. ©2020 All Rights Reserved. The Earth Arc just doesn't make sense to be. (Atlas Gundam, Gouf with giant fan backpack, Gelgoog, etc.) ! I absolutely love the Alex gundam.
Fighting is bad... but sometimes it can be so bad that it's good, right?
Having ginormous backpacks to do just one or a few things definitely fits early-ish UC since the tech is still relatively new.As for the newtype, I'd think it's like how newtypes in Zeta could put so much pressure on other pilots that they freeze up (or in kamille's case, freezing MS up). The Universal Century remains by far the most developed timeline with the largest number of works.
Anno Domini (AD) may sound familiar because it is also the name of our calendar. Artistic interpretation vs Different model.I always tried to come up with a form of fan head canon to explain away artistic interpretation when it comes to mobile suits between series. For example this version of the GM from what I would assume is from MSV. This timeline takes place in our future! It looks so nice and the arm Gatling guns make me so happy)New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castWelcome to r/Gundam!
This universe is so big that it can be broken up into the main events and smaller supporting actions spreading across multiple storylines. Now that we have passed the masterful mess that is the UC, the timelines of Gundam become much simpler. i would like to hear what y'all thing. This comment may be full of links to pictures of dumb robots. 0079 – 0080: 1. You get more violence, gore, nudity and sex than you bargained for...which isn't entirely a bad thing. And let's not get to how it looks. The suits in Thunderbolt sectors being provided more arms and bigger backpacks don't really take me away from the experience, as the field they're fighting in requires that, and it makes sense to create suitable equipments. There's hate, and then there's the white hot, seething hatred anime fans have for CGI anime. Now, we're going to be taking a look at the best adult anime which push things beyond the limit! The first way is thinking nothing of it and just going with the flow and considering thunderbolts Zaku is the same as the original Zaku. Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.
